Program Coordinator, Centre for Health Systems Support and Initiatives for Development (CHESIDS) Operations Advisor, Women in Public Health Leadership for Africa (WiPHLA) Ashifa Agede is the Program Coordinator at the Centre for Health Systems Support and Initiatives for Development (CHESIDS) and the Operations Advisor for Women in Public Health Leadership for Africa (WiPHLA), where she leads programs advancing youth leadership in health and development, strengthening health systems, and amplifying women’s leadership in public health. At CHESIDS, she leads the Next Hundred Public Health Stewards Program, an innovative youth immersion initiative that closes the knowledge and skills gap among young people entering Nigeria’s public health sector, building a pipeline of young leaders committed to achieving equitable health outcomes in Nigeria With over a decade of experience in gender-focused and SRHR programming, Ashifa has coordinated HPV vaccine rollouts across multiple states, driven male engagement initiatives addressing violence against women and girls, and led youth-centered health campaigns that have reached tens of thousands. Passionate about health equity and gender justice, she continues to champion youth-led innovation and inclusive leadership in Africa’s public health space.
