Atunde Ahmed Olarewaju
Atunde Ahmed Olarewaju is an AU-EU Continental Researcher (Health) contributing to shaping the policy priorities of the Africa–Europe Partnership. He is also the Co-Founder of Medbase Africa, a policy think tank start-up focusing on enhancing knowledge sharing for health system development. He brings a strong background in health systems, policy research, and civic innovation, with a focus on evidence-based strategies that strengthen healthcare access and financing. Atunde’s work highlights the specific needs of women, girls, and people living in conflict zones, ensuring that often-overlooked communities are central to cross-continental policy dialogues. With experience in gender equity advocacy, health financing, and post-conflict redevelopment, he bridges research and action to influence inclusive policy frameworks. Atunde has, over the years, worked with governments, NGOs, and grassroots networks, contributing to the advancement of sustainable healthcare, civic participation, and youth-driven solutions across Africa.
