D.A.R.E Conference

The DARE Conference is a two-day conference organised by YouthHubAfrica, which seeks to bring together over 500 young Africans to discuss and benefit from the practical experience of other youth speakers and artists who will share personal life experiences, success stories as well as their vision regarding an end to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Against women and girls in Nigeria and Africa at large.

Daniel Black

Daniel Black is a development consultant with extensive experience in agriculture, youth and leadership initiatives. He is currently the National Head of YALI Network Nigeria for 2024 where he leads a dynamic community of over 200,000 young Nigerians, focusing on cultivating leadership skills across three key areas: entrepreneurship, civic leadership, and public management. His role involves guiding and inspiring future leaders to address Nigeria's most pressing challenges through innovative and impactful solutions. In his professional capacity, as a development consultant, Mr Black consults for various NGOs to design and implement programs that foster growth. His expertise in youth advocacy is evident in his leadership of initiatives such as the "Na Who Vote Go Chops" campaign, which raises awareness among young people about the importance of electoral participation. Mr Black is also recognized for his role in convening significant events like the 2022 SDGs Connect Conference and the 2023 SDGs Road Walk. These platforms have enabled young Nigerians to present their innovative solutions aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria. Mr Black has championed several high-impact projects, including the One Million Trees Project wgich was an initiative that aimed at sensitizing and engaing one million young Nigerians in climate action and promoting environmental stewardship. Additionally, he is leading the "Youth Voices: What We Want" project, which collated and amplified the voices of Nigerian youth on a global stage, culminating in a presentation at the 2024 United Nations General Assembly in New York USA. In agriculture he has designed and implemented a 200 hectares maize outgrowres scheme in Nassarawa state, lead a research team for International fertilizer development company on a nationwide survey of challenges of protected cultivation in Nigeria. He is the executive Director of Growth for Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (GSAI) where he works with an incredible team to support rural Farmers in Nigeria to adopt sustainable farming practices which improve their yields and increase their economic value. Daniel Black's commitment to Agriculture, youth development and sustainable progress positions him as a pivotal leader in shaping Nigeria's future through empowered and engaged young people.
