Joshua Emmanuel Walusimbi

Joshua Emmanuel Walusimbi is a Ugandan chef turned social entrepreneur and Founder of Wekume, a digital-first initiative redefining how university students access sexual and reproductive health (SRHR) services. Blending technology with human connection, Wekume mobilizes peer ambassadors across campuses to foster trust, promote informed choices, and create safe spaces for dialogue. He also co-founded Shave My Head, a creative campaign that used haircuts as a vessel to spark conversations on menstrual health in Uganda’s semi-urban schools. Joshua’s journey from the culinary world to health innovation reflects his belief that purpose, not profession, defines impact.
