Lauritta Boniface
Lauritta Boniface is a 26-year-old environmentalist, development professional, UNFCCC negotiator, and climate advocate with 4 years of experience leading projects across Africa to address climate crises, promote a green and circular economy, and amplify the voices of women and youth in the most affected and underserved communities, by strengthening their adaptive capacity and building resilience to the climate crisis. She is the co-founder of Ecocykle, a youth-led organization working to promote climate action and circular economy, and also the co-founder of the African Female Negotiators Program, A feminist initiative addressing the systemic underrepresentation of women in climate change decisions. Lauritta provides capacity building for women-led organizations and mentors young women across Africa on climate diplomacy. Lauritta’s projects directly promote gender climate justice and climate-smart green skills impacting 50+ communities in Nigeria to address energy poverty and have empowered 20,000+ young people and women.
