Nurudeen Hassan
Nurudeen Hassan is a project manager and partnership builder with expertise in human rights, youth development, International relations and affairs, democracy, and governance across Africa. A graduate of Political Science from the University of Ibadan, he has nearly a decade of experience driving social change, capacity building, and organisational development. As Programs Manager at Hope Behind Bars Africa, he has helped secure major grants, led justice reform initiatives that facilitated over 200 prison releases, and advanced the right to peaceful assembly through nationwide youth training. He has also worked with the Correctional Service to establish vocational hubs in prisons. Previously at YouthHubAfrica, Nurudeen managed six-figure projects across Africa, reaching more than 1,000 young people, while also contributing to policy advocacy and technical reviews on gender equality. His leadership at the Raising New Voices Initiative and consultancy roles further highlight his governance expertise. A fellow of Open Minds Young Voices and Accountability Lab, Nurudeen is also an active writer and commentator on governance, democracy, and global affairs. Fluent in English, Yoruba, and Nigerian Pidgin, he continues to champion inclusive governance and human rights across the continent.
